Day Habilitation
Each adult individual under legal age is provided the opportunity to participate in a day activity, pre-vocational, or vocational setting six (6) hours per day, five (5) days per week as determined by individual needs which provides for:
• Assisting individuals in acquiring, retaining, and/or improving self-help, socialization, and adaptive skills necessary to reside successfully in the community
• Providing individuals with age-appropriate activities that enhance self-esteem and maximize functional level
• Complementing any counseling and therapies listed in the Individual Plan of Care
• Reinforcing skills or lessons taught in school, therapy, or other settings
• Training and support activities which promote the individual’s integration in the community
• Providing assistance for individuals who cannot manage their personal care needs during day habilitation activities.
• Providing transportation necessary for the individual’s participation in day habilitation activities.
• Providing transportation necessary for the individual’s participation in day habilitation activities.
• Providing services which are not funded under Section 110 of the Rehabilitation Act 1973 or Section 602 (16) and (17) of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
